As they continue their journey, Satoshi and his friends get invited by Sana to come watch a Tripokalon tournament. Serena gains inspiration from the beautiful performance by Kalos Queen Elle during the tournament's opening. Afterwards, the Rookie Class performances begin. But during those, a wild Yancham suddenly barges in and makes a mess of everything...!
After the tournament ends, Satoshi and the others run into the Yancham again, and as they chase after it, it ends up stealing both Satoshi's hat and Citron's glasses! However, while everyone are angry at the Yancham because of its pranks, Serena realizes that it's a Pokémon that really loves performing and starts thinking about how she'd like to get it... Will Serena manage to get the Yancham!?
